Seeley Sled Company started the way most good outfits do: with somebody who simply couldn't stay off a snowmobile. I'm Walter Kenzie, and I've been riding for more than twenty years now — long enough that my first sled would look like a museum piece next to what we throw around the mountain today. Somewhere in the last decade, casual love of the sport quietly turned into something more useful: a genuine, hard-won read on snow. I can tell you what a slope is thinking about doing before it does it, which around here passes for a superpower.
That's really the whole business plan. Seeley Lake sits in the Clearwater Valley between the Mission and Swan mountain ranges, about an hour north of Missoula — one of the best-known snowmobiling destinations in the country, and one of the snowiest. Deep, reliable powder all season: boondocking through the trees, big open bowls, hill climbs running from beginner-friendly to as advanced as you dare. All of our riding stays inside the Seeley Lake trail system and the surrounding backcountry — we don't guide into the Bob Marshall Wilderness, which is closed to motorized travel by law, and frankly the rest of the map gives us plenty to work with.
I love this sport enough that introducing other people to it rarely feels like work, even on the day someone buries a sled to the handlebars for the third time before lunch. Guiding, done right, is equal parts coaching and companionship — I'll hand you every tip and trick it took me years of cold fingers to learn, walk you through the terrain reading and throttle control that actually make backcountry riding click, and remind you that everybody, myself included, ends up sideways in the powder now and then. Going from "I can ride a trail" to "I can handle the backcountry" takes real persistence, and I'd rather be riding next to you for that whole climb than just pointing you up the mountain and waving.

The basics on cancellations, merchandise orders, and how we handle your info.
A deposit may be required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due the day of your trip. If a trip cannot safely run because of weather, avalanche danger, or insufficient snow, we will offer to reschedule at no extra charge or refund your deposit — that call is made by the guide, for the safety of the group.
Cancelling more than 7 days before your trip: full refund of any deposit. Within 7 days: the deposit is non-refundable, but we will do our best to reschedule you within the same season. No-shows forfeit any deposit paid.
Merchandise is produced to order through our print-on-demand partner, so please double check sizing and your shipping address before ordering. Because items are made to order we cannot accept returns for wrong size or change of mind. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email seeleysledco@gmail.com within 14 days with a photo and we will reprint or refund at no cost.

Guided snowmobile trips involve inherent physical risk. Booking a trip means you understand that backcountry and trail snowmobiling carries real risk of injury, and you will be asked to review and sign a separate liability waiver before riding — that document, not this webpage, governs your assumption of risk.
